As former French colonies in Africa refuse to continue to acquiesce to Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron complains that they "forgot to thank us" for their sovereignty.
Following a century of colonial slavery and wealth extraction by AND then another half century of neocolonial wealth extraction though the CFA Franc and puppet leaders…..did Mr Macron ever think to get down on his knees and thank the people of Africa for his national prosperity?
I was reading recently that while France has cheap nuclear electricity for its own people from urianium mined by French companies in Niger for almost no payment- the people in regions where the mines are have widespread radioactive mining pollution- and no electricity.
