I saw video of the mayor of Bucha looking quite jolly as he spoke of the previous day's departure of the Russians, no mention of dead bodies lying about. Four days later I saw him interviewed by CNN's Briahnna Keilar, where he acted far more distraught, saying he believed Putin had given his soldiers permission to, as he said, " go on Safari" killing people as they left town. Shortly thereafter, I saw video of Ukrainian cleanup crews arriving in Bucha, with their company name embroidered on their uniform shirt: SAFARI. Struck me as a Freudian slip on the mayor's part.

Very interesting, he said, in the manner of Arte Johnson in a German World War II uniform, on Laugh In.

Bless you, Kit! Your lovely humour inside such deep discussions reveals the grit & erudition behind each impeccable piece of work. Btw, "my" bank (b.of a. w/ its own sordid past & present) has flagged my acct. w/"unusual activity" ever since I began supporting. Will value yours & other courageous, brilliant (substack & mint press, etc.) blocked journalists even more.

Huge debt we owe you-all.

Peace. -T.
