Russia and North Korea have a mutual defense treaty that is very similar to NATO's Article 5. NATO's hypocrisy is off the charts: NATO officers & mercenaries have been fighting Russia in Ukraine for years now. There are American, British & Polish mercenaries fighting inside Russia in Kursk. The Kremlin refuses to fully mobilize in order to defeat Ukraine for fear of alienating the population. Thus the use of North Korean troops is very helpful to Russia. From Kim Jong Un's perspective, the treaty is great insurance should Washington attack North Korea.
